LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF MEMORANDUM TO 7TH CPC EXTENDED

As per the request of the JCM National Council Staff side, 7th Central Pay Commission has granted extension of time upto 15.07.2014 (15th July 2014) for submission of memorandum by individual organizations other than JCM staff side. The following is the revised time schedule (Last date).

1.  JCM National Council Staff side                :  30.06.2014 

2.  All other Federations/Unions/Associations  :  15.07.2014

JCM National Council Staff side will be submitting a common memorandum before 30.06.2014 on the common demands of the Central Government Employees. The Copy of the JCM Staff side memorandum will be placed in the website.

All affiliated organizations of the Confederation are requested to prepare their sectional memorandum well in advance and be ready to submit it before 15.07.2014 to the 7th CPC. New Pay scales demanded by the JCM Staff side will be available in the common memorandum of the JCM Staff side.

Confederation National Secretariat meeting will be held on 31.05.2014 at ITEF Head Quarters (Rajouri Garden) at 2 PM as already notified to finalise the common memorandum. (Please note the time change from 11 AM to 2 PM). All National Secretariat members are requested to attend the meeting.

Expected Dearness Allowance from July 2014 : This time there is a considerable slackening in the pace of the expected DA. It looks as if there are plenty of reasons for it.

As of March, the AICPIN has increased by one point and is at 239. The rapid increase in Consumer Price Index (IW) has been brought under control now. Election is believed to be one of the reasons for it. Since price rise and inflation are under control, there is not much of an increase in All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers. With a fall in the prices of essential commodities, the AICPIN points have actually reduced.

RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan hints at bank licence for India Post

Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan has backed the postal department's demand to set up a bank, even as the finance ministry has tried to block the move.

At the annual day lecture of the Competition Commission of India on Tuesday evening, the RBI governor, who is known for his candid comments, suggested that the 'Post Bank' could be given a limited banking licence that will be able to raise deposits and offer payment and remittance services. There will, however, be restrictions on investments and the entire amount would be have to be parked in government securities.

Through this letter, I wish to draw your attention to a long standing demand raised by both Staff Federations of Railways on National Pension Scheme (NPS) for employees of Indian Railways. The Federations have been expressing resentment over operation in the Railways of the National Pension Scheme, which is perceived as a lower social security cover for Railway employees. Their contention is that there are enough grounds for Railway employees to be treated differently from other civil employees of the Government, and that Indian Railways should operate the traditional defined .benefit pension scheme available to pre-01-01-2004 appointee's.

Directorate has revised the syllabus for LDCE for the promotion to the cadre of PS Gr. B

மத்திய, மாநில அரசுப் பணிகளில் சுமார் 1.50 கோடிக்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் பணிபுரிகின்றனர். கடந்த 2004-ம் ஆண்டுக்கு முன்பு பணியில் சேர்ந்த மத்திய, மாநில அரசு ஊழியர்களுக்கு வரை யறுக்கப்பட்ட ஊதியம் வழங்கப் பட்டு வந்தது. இதன்மூலம் ஊழியர் களின் சம்பளத்தில் பிடித்தம் எதுவும் செய்யப்படாது. ஓய்வு பெற்ற பின்பு அடிப்படை சம்பளத் தில் 50 சதவீதம் ஓய்வூதியம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of cases of family pension sanctioned, so far, under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) to the families of deceased Central Government employees;

(b) whether family pension at the rate of old pension scheme to these family members of deceased employees has been stopped after coming into force of the New Pension Scheme;

(c) if not, the fate of those who have been receiving family pension under NPS at the rate of old pension scheme;

(d) whether some of the deceased employees have left behind them only few thousands rupees as Contributory Pension Fund (CPF) with the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL); and

(e) if so, how Government would pay them family pension from their CPF?

Assured Career Progression (ACP) is a boon to employees who have been suffering without promotions for years.

Employees who got their jobs towards the end of 1960s had to face countless hurdles. One of them was the problem with promotions.

There were many who didn't get any promotions for 30 years. Countless others retired without getting a single promotion in their careers.

To put an end to this, all the Federations fought together and made the Government to implement the ACP (Assured Career Progression) promotion scheme. It enabled the employees, who didn't get any promotion for 12 and 24 years, to get one or two promotions respectively. A number of employees benefited from this.
